RESEARCH AREA EXPERIENCE:

1. The use of airborne laser data to characterize the forest canopy and to estimate forest biomass, volume, and carbon.

2. The use of AVHRR and Landsat digital data to monitor tropical and subtropical forest conversion.

3. Development of statistical and image processing procedures for subcontinental and continental resource assessment using satellite imagery. 4. The use of aircraft and satellite digital data to delineate insect defoliation and damage.
