My Favorite Collaboration with Al

Abstract:
Al & I collaborated in no fewer than 19 published papers, ranging from 1974 to 1996. This is 19 out of a much longer list of his publications. Selecting my favorite one was not an easy task, but I came up with the following: "Chang, T. C., P. Gloersen, T. Schmugge, T. T. Wilheit, H. J. Zwally, 1976: Microwave Emission from Snow and Glacier Ice, J. Glaciology 16, 23-39." This one was the basis for many subsequent investigations and reports on multispectral microwave observations of snow on Greenland and Antarctica as well as on more temperate terrain.
